Illusionary Tales

Welcome to the dramaturgy pages for Illusionary Tales, the first fully virtual theatre production of the BYU Theatre and Media Arts fall 2020 season, with dramaturgical work by Emily Trejo, Cameron Cox, and Makenna Johnston. This production includes the premiere of three brand new scripts, commissioned for this project. Balete Drive by Melissa Leilani Larson (a multicultural adaptation of the La Llorona myth); Such a Time as This (a contemporary story about the Golem in Jewish legend) by James Goldberg; and an adaptation of Poe’s story, The Tell-Tale Heart by Andrew Justvig.

This production will stream live October 29-31. For more information about streaming, visit the BYU Arts page here.
