About the show:

Get ready to experience your first romance all over again with this musical set in Florence, Italy, in the summer of 1953. A protective mother must decide if she can reconcile her own hopes with er daughter's future after the girl falls in love with a handsome local boy. This Tony Award-winning musical features finely drawn characters, tender emotions, and soaring music that will lift your heart long after you leave the theatre.

Contextual Resources for The Cherry Orchard

The creative team began working on this production a little more than a year ago. In my role as production dramaturg, I was happy to create a website of resources first for the creative team, and then when we went into rehearsals, for the cast. And now that we are opening the show, the resources offer valuable perspectives to our audiences as well.
