My Robot by Finnegan Kreuckmyer

Director: Teresa Love

YOUNG COMPANY

This play is part of our BYU Theatre Young Company touring production, touring to elementary and middle schools across Utah during fall semester, 2025.

Production Notes: In this performance, a unique company of talented actors in multiple cast configurations play a variety of roles. Be prepared for audience interaction as children and sometimes grown ups will participate in creating live sound effects on stage, interacting with Olivetti the "robot."

Run Time: approximately 50 minutes

Location: Studio Theatre at BYU West Campus

About the show:

Ophelia does NOT like her new home on the beach. She does NOT like the new people she meets, and she definitely does NOT like how alone she feels. But she does like inventing! When some mysterious parts show up, Ophelia builds a friend named Olivetti. With her robot by her side and with some help from the audience, Ophelia hopes to find the courage to face the stormy ocean and her inner fears.
